Elijah Hall

Update on Brick Wall ancestor: 

Elijah Hall born 1809 in New York.
He married 1839, Nancy Cummings at the Presbyterian Church in Amenia, Dutchess County, New York.

Amenia Historical Society record mentions,

Josiah S. Hall's birth parents as James Hall and Elizabeth Collins. She was married twice, Benjamin Church is her second husband. 

Need DNA help to further the Hall line.

Have not found birth records for Elijah or Nancy Cummings or

Josiah Hall.

Any leads appreciated, New York and Connecticut and Massachusetts locations have been thoroughly searched.

I've contacted a Bates cousin and he  produced the Photograph of Mary Hall Bates from his Grandma Una Bates

Smith, descendant of Frank Bates and wife Frances of the Wallingford Bates line. 

Still seeking birth record for Mary Hall wife of our Reuben Bates, she was the only wife and daughter of Elijah Hall. We didn't find their marriage record.

Seeking records for our for James Hall.

Update on Brick wall Martha Griswold

Martha Gains or Gaines of Granby, Connecticut first married Levi Gilman Griswold of Windsor, CT. Second husband was Milo Dyke of Hamden, CT. 

Martha is the daughter of John Gains and Martha Hitchcock. I've attached her to her parents at Findagrave. Unsure if, she had a illegitimate biological male child; Reuben born 18 May 1851 in Connecticut. I'll post sources, Confirmed in Connecticut Marriages.

Mary Gains Warner is her sister, she is buried with her husband James Warner in Whitneyville Cemetery of Hamden, CT.  The History of New Haven, Connecticut is the only book source for Gain's Ancestry.

I changed my mind

I almost deleted my Blogger account! What a big mistake that could of been! The other Blog site I started up offered me more modern Gadgets! I have changed my mind! I am not leaving this site! I am happy with both Blogs and I am staying!

For instance, I can customize my own Fonts for My First Blog exactly the way I want it to look. At Word Press you can't customize or enlarge your fonts with a free Blog package, you can at Blogger with a free Blog package.

Blogger is easier and faster to learn on your own so #DIY, I did! I am very impressed with the constant flow of traffic at both sites.

My First Blog using Google Blogger wins a shout out hands down with the most Page views and clicks to date. Each Blog will be unique on it's own.

This Blog is dedicated to My Family and all about our New England Ancestors, and our loved ones that have passed on and went to Heaven.

Kelly's Playground will be about Search Angels and Family Reunion's. I decided to keep both Blogs, I have Lot's of ideas! I hope I'm not breaking any Newbie Blogging Rules! I am learning new things every day. Thanks for stopping bye!
